The Games Factory was a game authoring tool developed in 1996 by Clickteam. The software was the first to utilize the Storyboard and Level editing system, which would then become part of Multimedia Fusion 2. The software is rather limited, and although it lacks features that are now incorporated in the newer authoring tools, the software was very simplistic to use and was able to create detailed and brilliant games. The software came with a list of tutorials which explained the basis of Interia, High Score Tables, and even taught users to create a simplistic Artificial Intelligence System. The latest known official version was TGF 1.06 .
